Code of Conduct
Code of Conduct
We are proud of our reputation as a community choir, which over the years has provided opportunities to members of the community to practice and display their musical talent. As a choir run entirely by volunteers, it is our responsibility to ensure that our members regardless of gender, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or nationality are treated with respect and feel that they are a valued member of our choral group. We will always provide a safe, friendly, and pleasant environment while rehearsing and performing. The choir endeavours to allow members to extend their level of ability through guided rehearsals and occasional workshops.
Equally, members are expected to co-operate through following a code of conduct. This will require them to always respect their fellow members and to follow the instructions and direction of our Musical Director. As a choir, all members are equal regardless of their level of ability and it is expected that members will give encouragement to others when required and/or sought. Members are expected to attend all rehearsals and participate in public performances unless personal circumstances intervene. It is also expected that members practice at home between rehearsals. Members will observe a specific dress code during performances and will display professional and appropriate behaviour while performing in public.
