Members

Welcome Note

The Sligo Orpheus Choir Committee warmly welcomes you to the Members’ Area.

In this section, you will find information on rehearsals, sheet music, uniform, membership, mentoring and performance events currently in the Sligo Orpheus Choir calendar.

Regular choir updates, interesting articles, photos and videos will be posted both on the choir website and our other social platforms.

NOTE: Photography, video and audio recorded at rehearsals, performances and social gatherings will be used to promote the Sligo Orpheus Choir on print and social media platforms. Membership indicates that you have given permission for your image to be used for this purpose.

Communication with choir members will be through the Member’s Area, Email and WhatsApp. Please make sure that the secretary has your contact details.

A SPECIAL welcome to new members!

You are joining a choir which for almost 50 years has entertained and delighted audiences both here in Sligo and much further afield. Very soon you will make many new friends and be provided with all the encouragement and support you need to enjoy your singing. A mentor will be available to you to provide any assistance you may require as you integrate into the choir.

We hope you will love our varied repertoire of music and song, our fun but hard-working environment, the buzz of performing as a valued choir member and most importantly, making lifelong friends.

Rehearsals

Our musical season runs from September to May.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday evenings, 7.30 pm to 9 pm in Sligo College of Further Education. Extra rehearsals may be scheduled as required.

Health and safety is always our primary concern, and we will continue to follow whatever requirements and protocols are mandated by the government regarding any public health measures.
